Not only is the hot spring enough to make you let go of those weekday worries, but the self-catering accommodation is surrounding by beautiful landscapes, offering the chance to hike in the surrounding hills. The Warmwaterberg Spa is also situated across the famous Ronnie’s sex shop, another definite spot to tick off your Route 62 bucket list.
4. Ronnie’s Sex Shop
Ronnie’s Sex shop is one of the more well-known tourist attractions of the Route 62. This roadside coffee shop-bar is loved by tourists and locals alike. The one-of-a-kind stop is filled with traveller’s graffiti and left-behind mementoes from those who pass through the Route 62 ‘watering hole’. Ronnie’s includes a full restaurant, overnight accommodation and a touch of old-fashioned good sports and mischief. The name originated after local farmer Ronald Price opened his own roadside produce stall, complete with a hand-painted sign that read ‘Ronnie’s Shop.’ His friends then later mischievously amended the sign to its current title.
